چکیده

Globally, rejuvenation of soil health is a major concern due to the continuous loss fertility and productivity. Soil degradation decreases crop yields threatens global food security. Improper use chemical fertilizers coupled with intensive cultivation further reduces both yields. Plants require several nutrients in varying ratios that are essential for plant complete healthy growth development cycle. Soil, water, air sources these macro- micro-nutrients needed vegetative reproductive cycles. Among macro-nutrients, nitrogen (N) plays significant non-legume species without sufficient access N lower result. While silicon (Si) 2nd most abundant element Earth’s crust backbone silicate minerals, it an micro-nutrient some plants. Silicon just beginning be recognized as important micronutrient and, while quite abundant, Si often not readily available uptake. The manufacturing cost synthetic silica-based high, absorption silica slow many Rhizosphere biological weathering processes includes microbial solubilization increase dissolution minerals increases availability Therefore, strategy improve uptake could field application Si-solubilizing bacteria. In this review, we evaluate role seed germination, growth, morphological yield under various biotic abiotic stresses, different pools fluxes soil, bacterial genera solubilizing microorganisms. We also elaborate on detailed mechanisms Si-solubilizing/mobilizing bacteria involved by soil. Last, discuss potential solubilizing/mobilizing achieve environmentally friendly sustainable production.

Effect of Silicon Nanowire on Crystalline Silicon Solar Cell Characteristics

Nanowires (NWs) are recently used in several sensor or actuator devices to improve their ordered characteristics. Silicon nanowire (Si NW) is one of the most attractive one-dimensional nanostructures semiconductors because of its unique electrical and optical properties. In this paper, silicon nanowire (Si NW), is synthesized and characterized for application in photovoltaic device. Si NWs are ...

Benefits of Silicon Nutrition on Growth, Physiological and Phytochemical Attributes of Basil upon Salinity Stress

In the present study, improvement of salt tolerance in basil (as a salt-sensitive plant) was investigated through silicon (Si) nutrition. Basil plants were subjected to silicon (0, 3 mM) and salinity (0, 50, 100, 150 and 200 mM NaCl) for a duration of one month. Salt stress significantly decreased the biomass of basil. Si supplement (3 mM) resulted in a considerable increase (averagely +135%) i...
